Trick-or-Treat!

We had a blast for Halloween. We went to the Criddle's house in Auburn and went trick-or-treating and ate way too much food and sweets! Ryan was a "Lightning McQueen" pit crew member. Cade was a skeleton. Ryan got to play with his friends Austin & Katelyn and played really hard. And we got to hang out with their mom, Amanda! So fun! It was a nice evening and we got so lucky with NO rain and a clear night with a full moon to boot! Jayne had put together a cute little table-scape with little goody buckets. It was really fun. Enjoy the pics!

Baking + Pumpkin Patch = Fall

Before I even had kids, I always had this fantasy of baking cookies with them. It just seemed like something a good mom would do. Which turns out to be true, since its 3x as slow and messy when a 3 year old is 'helping'. The time has come to really enjoy Ryan's little hands helping me in the kitchen. He LOVES to help. The other day I was cooking and I told him he couldn't help me because it was too hot and splattery. I heard him in the other room saying "Ay yai yai Mom, What the freak?!" I was a little taken aback but ultimately I was laughing out loud. Sigh...probably won't be so funny when he's 17.

Here are a few of Ryan and I baking sugar cookies. I couldn't take any of the actual rolling and cutting since my hands were sticky but we had a great time decorating and eating of course! I went to check on Cade and I came back to Ryan eating spoonfuls of icing. Ahhh...good thing it wasn't near bedtime! Don't be confused, Yes, Ryan WAS in his PJ's and YES, it was 1 in the afternoon. It was a lounging-baking sort of day. :)

Last weekend we had planned a trip to the Pumpkin Patch but the rain ruined that idea. So I went this past Wednesday with some moms from the ward and we had a great time. Kevin and I are planning on hitting a different one tomorrow. Here are a few from our Wednesday trip. I like big pictures...so enjoy!

Domingo

We try to make it down to Auburn on Sundays to visit the Criddle clan. Its only about a 35 minute drive and its nice to catch up with the Criddle women. Heres a few I took of this past Sunday when we had a little BBQ and some great s'mores bars! (thanks Kristel). Kevin is great at BBQing and has mastered some really great grilling techniques. Its relaxing to go over there and catch up about our week. Ryan LOVES to play with all the toys Grandma has just for him. Spoiled. Lucky to be so close to both families.

Jerry Squared

My parents came up to visit one night, my dad was going to be speaking at a Spanish regional conference in Bellevue, so they came down and had dinner with us. I snapped a couple pics of Cade Jerry and his grandpa Jerry. I love how little Jerry looks so much like his Grandpa Jerry who he is named after. I love my Jerrys so much! I'm so happy to be so close to my parents and happy to see them so often. Its comforting to know that my boys will know their grandparents so well. I have a feeling Cade will love these pics when he gets older.

We had our family pictures taken on Saturday by a really amazing photographer named Jeremie Shoda. He really is gifted! Heres the link to them. Enjoy!
