Doin' the Puyallup!

Kevin and I are major fair people and we love to go to county fairs and eat all the deep fried foods! It takes me back to my childhood of the Adams County Fair, eating elephant ears and walking through all the animal exhibits. We made it down to the Puyallup Fair in Puyallup, WA. Its about an hour south of Seattle. It is the grand-daddy of all fairs! Its HUGE!!!! I wish I had some cool stats to share but its something like the biggest fair in the nation or something like that*

We had such a great time livin it up with all the fair folk. Enjoy the pics!!!! Oh I got a kick out of Ryrys bee pics because about 2 days earlier my little man was minding his own business outside with his graham cracker in hand and then he came running in screaming bloody murder. I ripped of his shirt suspecting a bee or wasp sting. (mothers instinct) and sure enough a wasp came flying out of his shirt. He got stung twice my poor little boy! I was so mad at the wasp I went out looking for it because it was still in my house. I really enjoyed killing that wasp. I don't think he even knows what happened because he liked looking at th bees at the fair.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

Its officially official!!!:) Kevin has been doing on campus interviews for law firms in Seattle for the past couple weeks and we have been praying that the right opportunity will present itself. About a week ago Kevin got a call back from DLA Piper out of Seattle and was asked to come back for a second interview. Well today at 5:00pm he got a phone call offering him the position!!! I immediately starting crying from joy! What a relief to KNOW that he has a job tied down for the summer. This law firm has a great reputation and is just what we hoped for. They also offer permanent positions to their summer associates so it may be a wonderful long term option for us! Congrats Kevin! They must see in you what I see!!

The Phantom of the Opera

So last night we went to the Broadway show "Phantom of the Opera." Some of you might have heard of this one. :) Kevin and I bought tickets to this about 3 months ago and have been dying to finally go. It was soooo nice to go on a hot date together! Before we went, we ate at the Cheesecake Factory. I have never actually eaten there. I was very impressed by the food variety and of course the cheesecake was AMAZING! We got the lemon raspberry. I took a picture of it, but not until I remembered which was about 2 minutes later.

Phantom of the Opera was everything I hoped for! I loved it and wanted to sing along the whole time. Kevin really enjoyed it and was still humming the tunes this morning. Can I just say that the Phantom is da man?! I love him...he was an incredible singer and was so convincing. I wanted to cry during some of the songs because he was singing with such emotion. I wish Christine would have just fallen in love with him already! hahaha

We are definitely going to keep going to shows. It is just another world of entertainment. It was fun to walk around downtown Seattle in the evening all dressed up. We weren't allowed to take pics inside of the theatre but I snuck a couple of the beautiful ceiling. Lame, I know!!! BTW, Kevin hates asking strangers to take pics of us,....so all of them were us by ourselves. :)

Enjoy!

Feels Good

You know sometimes it just feels good to learn something new. I guess the only downside is that you want to spend most of you time practicing and learning more. Time that you usually don't have. Well I just learned how to customize blogs. I learned how to edit the html codes on blogs and how to make them 'cuter' I actually really enjoy doing it and I find myself wanting to spend all of my time playing with different patterns and textures and trying to figure out more. So yay for me! I often tell Kevin if I had my dream job, I would be the one doing all the cool digital effects that commercials and movies have. I know its not a BIG accomplishment but after being out of school for 2 years, it feels really good to learn something new. For all you ladies out there...I would LOVE to make YOU a custom blog. Be patient with my lack of creativity as I am JUST starting! Let me know if you want me to have at it for your blog! I made a separate blog to use as a tester.

Heres a funny about blogging that made me LOL. :)

Shooo Fly

K, for the past few days I have been pestered by these nasty little fruit flies, heaven knows they look innocent enough but its just nasty to think the are laying eggs or something on my food. Apparently, Seattle is a safe place for these little flies. I never came across them in Eastern Wa. Does anyone know a good way to get rid of them? Now, I haven't got any fruit out, and there is no food in the garbage. Its like if I leave a glass of juice on the counter for 10 mintues, they are all of a sudden there! I fed Ryan lunch the other day and gave him some apple sauce...while he was eating his grilled cheese, the flies made themselves at home in his applesauce! I have tried putting a cup of apple juice with some saran wrap tight over it and then I put holes in the top...to catch them...I only caught two in the course of many hours.

Ryans Birthday---Bring on the Terrible Twos!!

Ryan turned two years old on August 31st....I cannot belive it has been two years already! He is such a big boy now...I guess I better learn to let go now since it won't be any easier as time goes by.

For Ryrys birthday the Criddle Fam came down from Auburn and we had a nice BBQ at my parents house with lots of kids and of course the party was "Backyardigans" theme. We even had a Pablo pinata and I was a little worried that Ryan was going to cry when we started beating Pablo...but he just joined in! It was a little colder and windy than we anticipated so we brough the party inside towards the end. He got lots of fun toys and had a blast playing with all of his cousins.

Here are some pics.
